The US public to my mind has lost all sense of morality and ethics. It blindly supports the gross, deadly and inimical foreign policies of whatever Party is in power in the White House. The truth is that foreign policy wise,there has been very little difference in either Party's approach to foreign policy over the last many years.
Is there a simple explanation for why common sense is so rarely found in the work of NYT contributors, especially when it relates to the big issues such as matters of war and peace, with peer nuclear powers no less. If being wrong so often were only confined to the last 20 years I might think that taking too many selfies has something to do with it but no, the NYT has been consistently wrong at the inception of every ill advised war we have blundered into since at least Viet Nam and probably before. Being wrong at the NYT, and Big Media generally, means never having to say you are sorry...or even oops. After 30 years of the paper I finally had had enough after Gulf War II: Tom Friedman - for it if done right - and saved myself a fair amount of money and even more of wasted time.
Yeah, 2016 ruined them. Hillary Clinton wasn’t supposed to lose. Her team quickly threw together the “Blame Russia!” narrative and the shitlibs who infest the newsrooms of almost every major media outlet or publication happily went along with it because they yearned for, and desperately needed, a reason to believe anything but the truth: outside elite circles and white women, very few people liked or trusted Hillary Clinton.
Ever since then it took on a life of its own as they kept doubling down no matter how much evidence came out that there was no Russia collusion.
Democrats in D.C. found Russiagate to be a way to hamstring the Trump admin with a never-ending string of investigations, and then idiot Joe Biden sent idiot Kamala Harris to Europe to let everyone know the U.S. was going to keep interfering in Ukraine until we got what we wanted…which led the Russians to start the war in 2022.
This is why I laugh at the criticisms of Trump being an unserious clown. He is not a great candidate to be president, but his predecessors and challengers have been clowns for decades now.
There are very few elected officials in D.C. who aren’t idiotic clowns, so I voted for one of the few clowns that isn’t committed to making Russia our permanent enemy.
