Russia has been incredibly patient and restrained in watching what is happening in the south Caucasus. I can't help but wonder if Russia was not heavily focused on the Ukraine conflict and operating under associated economic/military constraints, then its policy and conduct toward the region would have been different.

As an American neutralist, my hope is the US will stop trying to run anything east of the Atlantic ocean. Still, if Putin could close the Azerbaijan/Armenia playground, it is difficult to see how the world would be a worse place.
